Partisan Fishing Expeditions?

House Republicans staged a walk-out today. I remember in high school my debate team started a walk-out in support of teacher's not getting a pay raise. We ended up on the news which was cool and it was for a very good reason. But this--this is silly to me. They are Congress! They have responsibilities! They have a duty to the American people to stand up and be accountable!

Today, House Democrats attempted to hold a vote on contempt charges for White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers, who refused to respond to subpoenas in Congress’s investigation of the U.S. attorney scandal.

On the House floor today, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) led Republicans in a walkout in protest of the contempt vote, alleging it is a “partisan fishing expedition.”

What I find most ironic is that most of these republicans were also behind the witch-hunt of impeaching President Clinton. I guess when the shoe is the other foot, it really hurts.
